If you sell a skill and a big marketplace takes a fifth of every job, your own site keeps the sale. Here is how a seller applies, sets up a profile and finds the dashboard. You need a site running the free WP Sell Services plugin. It takes about four minutes. There are four steps. Apply to become a seller. Set up your profile. Meet your dashboard. See your public page. Step one. Apply to become a seller. A member opens Become a Vendor. Turn what you are good at into income, says the page, with what you get and how it works. Register as Vendor sends the application. Depending on your site, you are a seller at once, or you wait for approval. Step two. Set up your profile. Now as the seller, Priya. Open Profile in the dashboard. Basic Information holds your name and photo. Vendor Profile has your Tagline, Bio and links. Buyers read these before they hire you. Click Save Changes when you are done. Step three. Meet your dashboard. Sales Orders is the first screen. Every order you receive is listed here. The menu beside it holds My Services, Proposals, Reviews, Earnings and Payouts, Portfolio and Messages. Replay tour walks you round it again, whenever you want. Step four. See your public page. This is a seller page, as a visitor sees it. Your tagline, bio and services are here for buyers. That is all four. Applied as a seller, a profile set up, the dashboard met, and your public page seen. Your skills, on your own site. Next in this series: Sell your first service.
