Features

Everything it does, and which parts are free.

53 capabilities across 8 areas. 47 of them are in the free plugin, including the entire commission, withdrawal, dispute and review systems. Pro mostly lifts limits and adds integrations.

The five that decide whether this fits.

The other 46 are listed underneath, grouped by area.

Buyer requests and proposals Free

Not every job is sitting in a catalog waiting to be bought. A buyer describes the work with a budget range, vendors answer with their own price and timeline, and the buyer picks one. This is the half of the product a catalog-only marketplace plugin does not have.

Brief to awarded order

  1. Buyer posts a brief Buyer Title, description, category and a budget range, with attachments.
  2. Vendors submit proposals Vendor Each carries an amount, a delivery time in days and a cover letter.
  3. Vendor picks the contract type Vendor Fixed price for the whole job, or a milestone plan split into phases.
  4. Buyer awards one Buyer Accepting turns the proposal into a real order on the agreed terms.

Fixed or milestone contracts Free

Nobody sends three thousand dollars to a stranger up front. A vendor bidding on a posted job chooses how they want to be paid: one sum, or phases. Each phase is paid and signed off before the next one opens, and the order completes itself when the last one is approved.

Read the docs →

How a phase unlocks

  1. Phase 1 approved and paid
  2. Phase 2 in progress Paid on approval of phase 1, not up front.
  3. Phase 3 Locked until the step before it is approved

A phase cannot be paid until the one before it is approved. The plugin enforces it rather than trusting the parties.

The order workflow Free

A service order is a conversation with money attached, not a shipping label. Requirements are collected before work starts, the vendor delivers files, the buyer approves or asks for a revision, and an unanswered delivery completes on its own rather than hanging forever.

All eleven states

  • pending payment
  • pending requirements
  • in progress
  • delivered
  • revision requested
  • disputed
  • cancellation requested
  • cancelled
  • refunded
  • partially refunded
  • completed

Every state an order can be in. Green completes, grey ends it early.

Disputes Free

The question every marketplace owner asks before installing anything: what happens when it goes wrong. Both sides put evidence on the order, you mediate, and you settle it one of four ways. It is a process rather than an argument by email, and it is in the free plugin.

Read the docs →

How a dispute settles

  1. Either side opens a dispute Buyer or vendor
  2. Both submit evidence Messages and files, on the order, not over email.
  3. You mediate and settle Owner Four outcomes: full refund, partial refund, extra revision, or agreement reached.

Commission and payouts Free

How you actually earn. Set one rate for the marketplace, override it per vendor, and give tips their own rate. Money clears after a period you choose, vendors request what they are owed, and you approve it. Pro automates the last step; nothing about the first four needs it.

Money path, buyer to vendor

  1. Buyer pays Through your checkout, or the cart platform you already run.
  2. Commission splits A global rate from 0 to 50 percent, with per-vendor overrides. Tips carry their own rate.
  3. Vendor balance clears After the clearance period you set.
  4. Vendor requests a withdrawal Subject to your minimum amount.
  5. You approve and pay out By hand, or automatically on Pro through Stripe Connect and PayPal Payouts.
