You cannot earn until buyers can pay. You can sell today with offline payment, and add cards and PayPal when you are ready. Here is where each one is set. You need the free WP Sell Services plugin. Stripe and PayPal need your own accounts. It takes about three minutes. There are six steps. Turn on Offline payment. Ask for proof of payment. Connect Stripe. Connect PayPal. Set up checkout. Then see the payment choice at checkout. Step one. Turn on Offline payment. Open Settings, then Payment Gateways. Offline payment has its own card. Buyers pay you by bank transfer or another way you arrange, and you mark the order paid. Turn it on, then save at the foot of the card. Step two. Ask for proof of payment. Open Orders and Disputes. Offline Payment Proof lets buyers upload a receipt for you to check. You review the receipt, then mark the order paid. Turn it on, then save at the foot of the section. Step three. Connect Stripe. The Stripe card takes your keys from your Stripe account. Test Secret Key and Live Secret Key are where the keys go. Once they are in and the card is on, buyers can pay by card at checkout. No key is shown here. Step four. Connect PayPal. The PayPal card takes the details from your PayPal account. Live Client ID and Live Client Secret go here. Once connected and on, PayPal appears beside the other choices at checkout. Step five. Set up checkout. Open Checkout. Show reassurance badges adds a row of trust notes. Site cart link and Account at checkout shape how buyers reach it. Checkout billing fields choose which details you collect, such as Company, GST or VAT number and Phone. Step six. See the payment choice at checkout. This is a buyer, Owen, at checkout. Under Payment Method, every payment method you turned on is listed. Place order sends the order. It is not clicked here. That is all six. Offline payment on, proof asked for, Stripe and PayPal connected, checkout set up, and the choice seen. Now buyers can pay.
