You would rather sellers came to you. Post what you need, compare the proposals that arrive, and pay a big project one phase at a time. Here is how. You need a site running the free WP Sell Services plugin. It takes about four minutes. There are four steps. Post a request. Compare the proposals. Pay a big project in phases. Manage your requests. Step one. Post a request. Open Buyer Requests in your dashboard. Post Request opens the form where you describe the job. Sellers who fit the job see your request on the Buyer Requests page and send you a proposal. Step two. Compare the proposals. This request has two proposals, with the price and the delivery time of each. One is a phased project. View phase breakdown shows each phase and what it delivers. Accept Proposal hires that seller. Decline turns it down. Neither button is clicked here. Step three. Pay a big project in phases. Now as another buyer, Marco, who hired on a phased proposal. Milestones lists the three phases. He pays each phase when he is ready, so the seller is paid as the work moves on. Step four. Manage your requests. Back as Owen. Each request has icons for View Offers, Edit and Close. Close stops new proposals when you have found your seller. It is not clicked here. That is all four. A request posted, the proposals compared, a big project paid in phases, and your requests managed. Let the sellers come to you. Next in this series: Cancel an order or open a dispute.
