Your first order can feel nerve wracking. The brief, the messages and the delivery are all in one place. Here is how an order runs from start to finish. You need a seller account on a site with the free WP Sell Services plugin. It takes about four minutes. There are four steps. Open your sales orders. Read the brief and message the buyer. Deliver the work. Handle a change request. Step one. Open your sales orders. Sales Orders lists every order you have received. Show filters the list, and Search finds one order. Click an order to open it. Step two. Read the brief and message the buyer. Order Requirements holds what the buyer answered when they ordered. Order Timeline shows where the order stands. Conversation is where you and the buyer talk about the work. Step three. Deliver the work. When it is ready, click Deliver Work to send it to the buyer. Need to quote extra work? Send quote to buyer offers more work for a price. Nothing is sent from here. Step four. Handle a change request. This buyer asked for a revision. The Order Timeline records it. Deliver revision sends the changed work. When the buyer accepts, the order is complete. That is all four. Sales orders opened, the brief read, the work delivered, and a change request handled. An order, from brief to done. Next in this series: Handle extra work and reviews.
